Calling All Creative Types!

We get calls all the time asking for ideas about creative wedding themes for the Big Day itself, for showers and for bachelor and bachelorette parties. We also get emails and calls from customers who want to share their ideas and creative inspirations with us once all is said and done.

We love to brainstorm with our TwoBrides.com & TwoGrooms.com clients, by why should we have all the fun?

If you have a great idea to share with us or our readers, we invite you to post on our blog.

Dear TwoBrides.com,
My spouse and I opted for a pumpkin/fall harvest theme at our November 1 wedding in a restored barn built in the 1800's. We choose the venue in order to set our theme. The barn’s exposed wooden beams, wood floors and stone fireplaces allowed us to save money on flowers and other supplies normally used to dress up a venue. The barn already had lights strung and antiques decorating its nooks and crannies. The venue supplied most of the "decor" freeing us up to spend our budget on our guests.

Small pumpkins with numbers carved into each served as table numbers. Set on tables covered with autumn color inspired linens, along with very simple cut flowers and a dish of candy corn; these center pieces were much more affordable than flower arrangements.

Guests at the rehearsal dinner the night before (on Halloween) carved pumpkins that were then used throughout the venue, while the children in the group (and some of the adults!) trick-or-treated. It gave us activities to do as a family and added a bit of fun to what can be a stressful and busy time.

The outdoors got in on the decorating as well. Because of the warm autumn day, the barn doors were thrown open and the surrounding countryside supplied a backdrop of fall foliage.

Carefully choosing a venue that set our desired theme made our ceremony wonderful, and affordable!
